ISRIC – World Soil Information is an independent foundation with a mission to serve the international community as a custodian of global soil information. We support soil data, information and knowledge provisioning at global, national and sub-national levels for application into sustainable management of soil and land.

ISRIC is dedicated to recruiting the best staff possible. We invite you to explore the opportunities and benefits of working with us.

We host the World Data Centre for Soils (WDC-Soils) since 1989. As a regular member of the ICSU World Data System, we provide a focus for soil-related collections and information services.

Together with our partners we are involved in various externally funded and co-funded research and capacity building projects.

ISRIC’s Data and Software Policy governs the use by any user of the ISRIC website and web services.

ISRIC has a guest researcher programme and welcomes researchers and professionals that wish to collaborate.

Founded in 1966, ISRIC has evolved from an 'International Soil Museum' to a global soil reference and information centre.
