Successful Spring School 2017

ISRIC - World Soil Information serves the international community with a wide array of tailor-made courses and lectures. From 15-19 May 2017,  we organized the fifth edition of the ISRIC Spring School on 'Mapping, classification and assessment of soils'. 

The course was successfully attended by 38 participants from 20 countries. Two thirds of the participants focussed on spatial predictions of soil properties and soil classes using various components of GSIF and hands-on training within the R environment for statistical computing. The other participants followed lectures and practicals about soil classification and their assessment.  

Guest lectures were given by Prof. Dr. Edzer Pebesma from Universität Münster, Em. Prof. Dr. Seppe Deckers from the KU Leuven, and Prof. Rachel Creamer from Wageningen University.
