Prof. A. (Tom) Veldkamp appointed new Rector Magnificus of the University of Twente

ISRIC would like to congratulate Professor A. (Tom) Veldkamp, valued member of the ISRIC Managing Board, with his new appointment as the Rector Magnificus of the University of Twente.

Under Tom’s supervision the former International Educational Institute for Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation was transformed into a fully-fledged UT faculty. The faculty is at the global forefront in the field of geo-information and earth observation (more).

ISRIC has benefitted greatly from Tom Veldkamp’s contributions and expertise provided as Member of the ISRIC Managing Board, and we are grateful for his continued contribution.
