Join the Africa Soil Information Community of Practice

Sign up and stay connected as our community continues to grow! We will organise training sessions, group discussions, and networking opportunities for this vibrant community of soil information practitioners.

Our activities include:

• Online webinars and seminars on soil-related topics, such as guest lectures on a soil profile database for agriculture development and pedometric and digital soil mapping.

• Community survey to understand shared needs. 

• Preparing and sharing resources related to the soil information workflow.

By becoming a member, you will be part of a network of soil science professionals and enthusiasts. You’ll receive regular updates on the latest developments in soil data and information, as well as access to educational resources and workshops for skill development and enhancement.

To become a member of the CoP, please follow the steps below:

1. Install Signal & create an account

If you don’t already have the Signal app on your device, download it here.

After installing, create your account using your phone number and follow the instructions to activate it. You will receive a verification code on your device. Note: For Nigeria (only), MTN currently does not support this process. Airtel and possibly other network providers work fine.

2. Complete the registration form

Once Signal is successfully installed and activated, fill in the registration form below using the same phone number you used for Signal, app, including the country code.

After submitting the form, we will add you to the CoP group on Signal.
