ISRIC — World Soil information participates in World Soil Day celebrations in the Russian Federation.

The celebrations in the Russian Federation are organised by the Russian State Agrarian University, Moscow State University, and the Eurasian Centre for Food Security in cooperation with the Food and Agricultural Organisation of the United Nations (FAO). Day 1 of the event focuses on the role of soil collections in soil science and agronomy. On this day ISRIC Director Rik van den Bosch will present an overview of the development of ISRIC’s World Soil Museum. The second day will focus on scientific collaboration in soil science and food security; Rik van den Bosch will give a presentation on the role of soil information in achieving food security. We thank the organisers of both events for providing us the possibility to be part of these two important events.
