SOTER database of Hainan Island

The harmonized spatial and attribute soil and terrain database, at 1:250,000 scale, for Hainan Island (P.R. of China) was compiled according to the SOTER methodology.  The database was compiled by the Institute of Soil Science of the Chinese Academy of Sciences in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Tropical Agricultural Sciences, with technical assistance from ISRIC. The work was done in the framework of a UNDP-sponsored project for sustainable land management [1998-2002].
