SOTER database for Central and Eastern Europe (version 1.1)

The Soil and Terrain database for Central and Eastern Europe was compiled using the SOTER methodology, adapted for use at a scale of 1:2.5 million (PDF).

Version 1.0 of the dataset  was compiled in the framework of the project on "Mapping of Soil and Terrain Vulnerability in Central and Eastern Europe" (SOVEUR), a collaborative activity of FAO, ISRIC and partner institutions from thirteen countries in Central and Eastern Europe.

The geographic database of version 1.1 is congruent to the Digital Chart of the World; the attribute database includes 663 geo-referenced soil profiles for the region.
