GeoPortal

The GeoLoketten consortium is developing an open infrastructure for the documentation and exchange of geo-information, with geographical focus on the Netherlands.

ISRIC has participated in meetings concerning methodology development and contributed its international holdings to the subsoil node of  Working Package 2 [2005-2006]. The metadata, in ISO19195 format, can be consulted on-line and the underlying datasets accessed through the Groene Omgeving metadata portal.

Activities of the GeoPortal consortium, are carried out in the framework of the Dutch "Space for Geo-informatics" (RGI) programme, and co-funded by BSIK.


Note: As World Data Center for Soils, ISRIC only maintains metatada through the Portal of the World Data Center System, which uses the standards of the Global Change Master Directory (GCMD)   more ...
