Dr Zhanguo Bai - Global assessment of land degradation and improvement

Zhanguo has wide experience in erosion and soil & water conservation, land degradation assessment, and special expertise in erosion & sedimentation processes using radio-nuclide and isotopic tracing technology as well as GIS and remote sensing application in land management. He joined ISRIC in 2002, working on a quantitative global assessment of land degradation and improvement (GLADA), China’s soil and terrain database (CNSOTER) and the World Overview of Conservation Approaches and Technologies (WOCAT).

Zhanguo speaks English, Chinese, and has a little command of German and Dutch.
